Without Lifting A Finger

It's always Tchaikovsky and the 1812 with fantastic fireworks. Occasionally with a little variety (I don't think they played his 2nd the last time I was in the house).                                               

But we were far away from the Queen Mary (ground zero) and "the show" seems to be getting shorter every year. We watched from a low wall fairly close to the Belmont Pool. [[[Really glad we weren't in Simi Valley.]]] 

On a tip from our waiter (thanks Anon), we walked out along the harbor after dinner and saw the early show (9:00 P.M.): a little band got the crowd hoppin' and then counted down to the blast off. We watched 90% of the fireworks before walking back to our car.
