Venice: Between Vaporetto Stops Biennale and Giardini


We landed at Biennale and waited for Vanni (our landlord) at Giardini. Most of the time we sat on benches along the tree-lined avenue (heaven) leading to the statue of Garibaldi (see statue and resident turtle below). I strolled in the garden. I kept gazing at the twin campaniles. I didn't know then that Wagner died in Venice. I know now.
